ESPN killed off Rafael's Friday chat. ESPN killed off Rafael's ESPN+ show. ESPN has Steve Kim write the major articles after the weekend now. I don't know how much is left on Rafael's deal, but clearly ESPN believes he's leaving when his deal is up.

This right here. Rafael knows the writing is on the wall. Arum has had a close relationship with Kim for years and prefers him over Rafael who he has blasted numerous of times. Once Max got his show on ESPN and then they took Rafael's show off ESPN+ and then hired Kim, he knew the deal. Boxing doesn't really need two big writers covering it on a weekly basis, but that's what is happening now. Rafael did just extend I believe last year or maybe a bit more, so he may still have another year or two left on his deal. After that though? Will need to be looking for a new job.
