  • Comments Thread For: Loeffler Explains Recent Decline In Golovkin's Media Visibility

There was a time when you couldn't get out of the way of a story involving Gennadiy Golovkin, whether he was preparing for a fight or simply enjoying a leisurely jog. It's a brave new world in the career of the former middleweight titlist, whose last two scheduled fights have managed to fly well under the radar. Included in that lot is his Oct. 5 vacant title fight versus Sergiy Derevyanchenko (13-1, 10KOs), which takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Well he lost and kind of started acting like more of a diva than ever before. There's no positive reason to get a name change the way he did.

Well done Loeffer, your idea to pander to Mexicans surrounding your lifestyle in LA is what you wanted so you could make a buck? All that Marketing was you, and your counterpart Abel you left stranded you twoface goon.

Your dumbass should’ve been promoting GGG at 168 LONG AGO. Ffs 168. The whole thing you and HBO planned about him being a small Middleweight has its repercussions as seen on this board of gullibility. I guess because a network says something on a broadcast then gee it must be true because it’s on TV or “well his promoter says so so it must be real.”

He couldnt handle losing his 0.

And the crazy thing is most fans still see him as unbeaten, but thats not enough for him.

He started think he was iron man and nobody could touch him, but he got old and will never be the same his next fight will be a life and death struggle.

Canelo is right there will be no third fight he will either loses before it happens or Canelo gets his arse taken to by the Serge

That might have something to do with signing with an app that reduces visibility for boxers in favour of a much smaller audience. When they were on hbo, everyone knew when they were fighting. Someone could see the fight advertised and tune in or happen upon it by accident and watch it. Not only does the app only approach reduce visibility it may also have something to do with people not being energised about his opposition and lack of willingness to take on any real threats while praying for a third Canelo match. These just MAY be issues.....

The marks on his face are still healing from the Canelo fights.

His visibility has been diminished because he's been staying out of the spotlight somewhat. He's married has kids and has another life outside boxing. The Ruiz Joshua fight, the Canelo situation with Derevyanchenko and now the Kovalev fight all soaked up the media's attention.
