Abner Mares vs Perez
Round 1 Mares
Mares landing the left hook with regularity, also
landing well to the body, got his jab going to.
Round 2 Mares (slightly close)
Mares landed his left again this round, he also
put a good combo between the guard of
Perez early on, Perez came on strong down
the stretch but Mares still got the best of the
exchanges as his speed was decisive in the
exchanges.
Round 3 Perez
Tough round, Perez did better in the exchanges this
round, Mares banged it out with him but a lot of his
shots were caught on the gloves, although he did
land a nice uppercut down the stretch, however
Perez stayed with him the whole round and nailed
him at the bell with a solid right hand.
Round 4 Perez
Perez pressure begining to tell imo, Mares stayed with him
most the round but still got hit with the cleaner shots imo,
particularly the left hook, toward the end Perez was starting to
take over
Round 5 Perez
Perez just relentless, Mares is starting to feel the intense pressure
Perez is putting on.
Round 6 Mares
Mares used more movement this round to offset Perez, he did
a better job of Boxing Perez this round
Round 7 Perez (Close round)
Round 8 Mares (close)
Round 9 Mares
Better round for Mares as he was able to get off first again, he also managed to push
Perez back toward the end.
Round 10 Mares
Big round for Mares as outpunched Perez most the round landing a big left hook
early then again when Perez was on the ropes, he also seems to be hurting Perez
with the body work, Perez voluntarily started backing up
Round 11 Mares
Mares getting off first and outworking Perez imo
Round 12 Mares
Mares outworked Perez and landed the cleaner punches imo,
Mares also seemed to hurt Perez at the end, great! fight.
I felt Perez came out a bit tight Mares was able to take advantage of that
early, however when Perez started to get into his rhythm he was able to take
advantage, particularly as Mares early on seemed intent on standing in their
and trading more than he should of been, Perez went onto sweep the next 3 on
his pressure imo, however Mares stop the rot by using is legs and Boxing his way
to win round 6, round 7 & 8 were rounds which could of gone either way, i split
the differnce as you could make a case for both, in both rounds, Mares seemed to
get a second wind down the stretch and was increasingly more able to get off first
and outpunch Perez who seemed to weaken from the bodyshots toward the end.
The 2nd Pryor fight I saw was his only loss, a 7th round tko loss to Bobby Joe Young. During the intros, Pryor hit Young's trainer Tommy Parks and a near riot ensued. Pryor had not fought in over 2 years while battling crack addiction. Young knocked him down in the first round(Pryor was knocked down in the first round against Cervantes, Dijuan Johnson, Kameda and Young) and hurt him several times in the first 2 rounds. Pryor took rounds 3-5, but was severely staggered in the 6th. At the beginning of the 7th, Young caught Pryor with a whistling right cross. Pryor got up, took a knee, and was shockingly counted out as he watched the refs count. The end of an ATG's career.

Watched Frazier vs. Quarry 1 and 2.
In the first , Quarry went toe to toe with Frazier , hurting him and almost knocking him through the ropes in the first round , and then wobbling him again , but not trying to finish , the second round was still competitive , but as the fight progressed , Frazier's superior conditioning took control of the fight , leading to his stoppage of Quarry whom remained on his feet the entire fight.
In the second fight , Quarry did try some counter-punching , but he did worse than in the first fight. The film was stopped after the 3rd file , so I did not see the stoppage itself.

Hearns vs Figueroa
Round 1 Hearns
Hearns maintaining distance with the jab which is
setting up his hard right hands, he is also landing hard
left hooks to the body
Round 2 Hearns
dominated this round with the jab
Round 3
10/8 round, Figueroa came out and tried to press Hearns
but got counted with a big right hand that put him down,
lovely punch, Figueroa got up but Hearns backed him to
the ropes landed devastating left hooks to the body and
finished Figueroa by nailing him with an uppercut up
the middle, very impressive by Hearns.
--------------------------------
Hearns vs Shuler
Round 1
Hearns comes out and gets the jab going, gets hit with a single jab by
Schuler but starts to land his terrific left hook to the body, doubling it
then brining the right hand into play, Shuler seems hurt from one of them
and Hearns measure him for another that puts him on his back!
Hearns left hook to the body is such a hard punch, we know about the
right hand, devastating.
-----------------------------------
Tommy Hearns vs Harold Weston
Round 1 Hearns
Hearns dominating with the jab and countering
Weston with the counter left hook as he tried to get
inside, toward the end Hearns was dropping right hands
on him, one of them hurt him and so Hearns took it to
him on the ropes
Round 2 Weston (kind)
More spirited round by Weston as he put more pressure on
got to Hearn's body
Round 3 Hearns
Weston putting the pressure on but Hearns landing the jab
and picking him off with a right left combo as he presses on
Round 4 Hearns
Weston got nailed by Hearns with right hand left hooks
but toward mid to late rounds Hearns got caught himself
as he languished inside too long
Round 5 Weston
Not much in the round early but Weston put the pressure on
toward the end and went to the body
Round 6 Weston
Weston had a good round as he was able to get to Hearns
body inside and land his short left hook, Hearns cant stop
him getting inside at the moment and at times is languishing
inside too much imo.
Fight stopped, Weston unable to continue because of a swollen eye, i think!.
Hearns did not cope well with the pressure of Weston he seemed
to tire because of the heat and that helped Weston get inside more
and more, he also kept leaping off his feet when he threw the jab
ALA Larry Holmes. Weston showed a decent defense as he managed
to slip a lot of punches and come on strong and go to the body, Hearns
seemed to tire but i still think Hearns would of done enough to win, but it
would not have been easy.Last edited by Dynamite Kid; 05-26-2010, 08:08 PM.

Julio Cesar Chavez vs Lonnie Smith
Round 1 Even
Smith running like a ***** the whole round
Round 2 Chavez
Chavez cutting the ring down on Smith and landing
a couple of body shot, he also landed a right hand over
Smith's jab
Round 3 Chavez
Smith landed a two good right hands on Chavez but Chavez
closed better pressing Smith, too much running from Smith
Round 4 Chavez.
Smith still running, although he did respond to a Chavez attack
this round, however toward the end Chavez was pressing him
again, oh!, Chavez also landed a good right hand this round
Round 5 Chavez
Smith is not running now but more walking he seems to have
tired from all the running Chavez's pressure was more evident
this round because Smith was more stationary target, Smith
knee'd Chavez in the balls at one point but got away with it.
Round 6 Chavez
Good round for Chavez as the pressure it getting hotter and
hotter in Smith, Chavez is starting constantly chip away at him
Round 7 Chavez
Round 8 Smith (kind)
Smith did a bit better this round but he is still running
too much imo.
Round 9 Chavez
Round 10 Chavez
Smith landed the best punch of the round of Chavez but
Chavez came back and tried to put the pressure on an
effort to stop Smith, he ran out of time however
Round 11 Chavez
Big Chavez round as he looked on the verge of stopping
Smith
Round 12 Chavez
Smith ran like a ***** all night long, Chavez did his usual
excellent job of cutting the ring down and applying the
pressure.
-------------------------------------------
Hearns vs Butler
Round 1 Hearns
Butler did okay early landing the odd jab and going
to Hearns's body at one point, however tha woke Hearns
up who was landing his left hook to the body and landed
the best punch of the round toward the end, a solid right
hand
Round 2 Hearns 10/8
Butler did okay early landing two cuffing right hands
but Hearns nailed him with a right hand that dropped him
Round 3 Hearns
Not much in this round as Hearns used his legs and lot but
did not score much, neither did Butler though, however Hearns
landed a good rigt hand toward the end.
Round 4 Butler
Gonna give this round to Butler as Hearns was a bit negative
and Buter was more aggressive and went to the body effectively
Round 5 HearnS 10/8
Not much in this round early on, however toward the end
Hearns landed a right hand, then a counter right hand, then
another right hand that dropped Butler
Round 6 Hearns
Butler was nailing Hearns to the body and head on the ropes
early on, however Hearns seem to get angry at that and came
off the ropes pushed Butler back and started landing his
right hand, he also landed his left hook to the body.
Round 7 Hearns
Hearns two right hands down the stretch took this round
where by not much happened
Round 8 Even
I dont usually score even rounds but neither man established
superiority in this round and i could not split them.....
Round 9 Butler
Thought Hearns dictated the pace but that Butler landed the
better punches, he landed the odd hook and a couple of right
hands.
Round 10 Hearns
Butler's early pressure was winning it but his workrate
dropped off down the stretch and Hearns finished the stronger
and pinched the round im.
Butler showed a decent defense in the fight as Hearns seemed
to miss a lot of shots throughout the fight, Hearns could fight
on the backfoot and use his legs because Buter is slow footed,
he also had success pushing Butler back, pretty poor fight to watch.
-----------------------------------------------------
Hearns vs Baez
Round 1 Hearns
Battle of the jabs early but Hearns found the
range with his right hand toward the end and seemed
to hurt Baez, he then let the combo's go
Round 2 Hearns
Hearns maintaining height and distance, using the jab
, and setting up counter right hands
Rounsd 3 Baez (kind)
Not much in the round but Baez put more pressure on
this round
Round 4 Hearns stops by Baez but hurting him with a right
hand then peppering him with combo's to force the ref to
step in
--------------------------------------------------------
Hearns vs Hutchings
Round 1 Hearns
Hearns wobbled Hutchings early in the round, Hutchings
seemed to recover his legs momentarily but toward the mid
to late part of the round was getting nailed again with
big punches and was dropped twice, 10/7
Round 2 Hearns
Hearns got his jab going early and landed the occasional
right left hook combo, however down the stretch he was
back to nailing Hutchings with solid punches, left and rights
Round 3 battle of the jabs early, Hearns actually caught a few
clean jabs but toward the end started letting that right hand go
and put Hutchings in trouble again, corner came onto save
their man Hutchings from more of a beating.
Hearns does take jabs to face, seems to have little defense for
it.
Hutchings fought too tight from the get go and that caused him
to reach with the jab, he was just far to tight and fought scared
Hearns teed off on him when he zeroed in.

Randy Shields vs Tommy Hearns
Round 1 Hearns
Hearns got the jab going early that started to set
up the right hands, Shields tried to rush him at one
point and got hit with left hooks on the way in,
Hearns also landed his left to the body in the clinch
Round 2 Hearns
Took this round on the jab
Round 3 Hearns
Hearns using the jab and setting up his right hand, he also
caught Shields coming in this round with the left hooks
Round 4 Hearns
huge round for Hearns as he landed a serious of big
right hands that were hurting Shields
Round 5 Hearns
Hearns landing left hooks to the body of Shields this round
Round 6 Hearns
Hearns pressuring behind the jab, also landing his straight
right to the body
Round 7 Hearns
Not much in the round but Hearns landed a few rights toward
the end
Round 8 Hearns
Hearns picked it up again this round by using the jab
to set up his right hands
Round 9 Hearns
Good round for Hearns as he landed some big right hands
and committed to the body attack hammering Shields to the
body
Round 10 Hearns
Some crunching left hooks this round by Hearns
Round 11 Hearns
Round 12 Hearns
Not much happened early in the round but Hearns poured
it on down the stretch, they should of stopped this fight ages
ago as Shields has been taking a beating for how many rounds
Ringside doctor stopped the fight, wise decision, Shields took far
too much than he should of had to
I dont know what Shields was trying to do in this fight, sure he was
outgunned, but he might aswell have taken it to Hearns then let
Hearns systematically pummel him round by round, Hearns for his
part fought a very patient fight, used the jab well, landed crunching left
hooks to the body and just dominated centre ring as he stalked Shields
and peppered him with jab that set up his big right hands,
it was a case of rinse and repeat almost every round.
-------------------------------
Julian Jackson vs Ron Collins
Round 1 Collins
I felt Collins landed 3 straight lefts on Jackson that just
edged a round where not much happened.
Round 2 Jackson
Lots of pressure from Jackson this round he nailed Collins
and the ropes seemed to hold him up, Jackson also
hammered Collins body throughout the round
Round 3 Jackson
Jackson staggered Collins 3/4 times in this round,
he was on jelly legs and looked ready to go, Jackson
just could not find the finisher.
Round 4 Collins(kind)
Being kind to Collins as this was a tough round to score
Jackson seemed to take most the round of due to doing
so much in the last round trying to knock Collins out but
he did come back toward the end of the round, however
i gave it to Collins
Round 5 Collins came out and tried to stay inside and fight with
Jackson, big mistake, he got nailed with a big left hook that dropped
him and had him on spaghetti legs, the ref waved it off as his legs
had clearly gone. Collins got hurt numerous times in this fight
but managed to survive, somehow, partly because of Jackson's poor
finishing prowess, also because Collins was able to slip the punches of
Jackson.Last edited by Dynamite Kid; 05-28-2010, 07:32 PM.

I only had HL's of the fights, dont know if the full fights exist, will have to look out for the full version's.
Jersey Joe Walcott vs Ezzard Charles
Walcott did a lot of spoiling, he was
trying to be physical inside and catch Charles with
sneaky punches as he would jump it at Charles, Walcott
got dropped with a left hook in an exchange with Charles, however
Walcott, who was behind, had a good finish to the fight as he nailed Charles with some
solid shots in the last round, one of them seem to momentarily
wobble Charles. Charles won.
Walcott showed good good physical strength in this fight but seemed
to be intent on spoiling Charles's work.
------------------------------
Walcott vs Charles 3
Not much happened early, lots of feinting
and waiting but not much action, Walcott did
manage to go to to the body a bit, Walcott fought
a more aggressive fight this time, he held his feet in
centre ring and fought from there, last time he did too
much backing up and Charle's pressure seemed to tell.
Huge left hook counter finished the fight, Walcott
slipped inside the jab and boom! with the left hook, new
HW champ.
