Their houses too.

I dunno how you can have a massive McMansion like most of them have and not have that 24 hour security surveillance.

There are houses just across from my modest semi detached that have it and they are nice houses but not a footballers mansion.

I dont get it. Do footy players just not bother with stuff like that. Even Di Maria got robbed when he was in a posh part of Cheshire where I know these security firms operate and I struggle to think of how you could actually be robbed.

I guess the criminals are quite sophisticated.

Crazy stuff. Hopefully he is well. reports say only minor face injuries but that could be anything from a cut on the face by knife or just a smack. Still though. Could've been a lot worse.
Pains me to say it but we need a few Duncan Fergusons in this snowflake generation of football players. Dele plays the tough guy on the pitch but folded like a cheap suit infront of a home intruder.

Not everyone can be Kolasinac.

I know it's just a knife but he's lucky he didn't get killed or maimed. Dele Alli could have easily ended up like that tennis player, Petra Kvitova. Who got knife attacked and had her left arm wrecked. She's left handed too, so it nearly ruined her playing career. Not just some average player either, she's won Wimbledon.

With that said though...

Football in Germany is at least popping.

You know the feeling must be terrible for you to get back on a football pitch after months and get torn a new ******* the moment you step on the pitch. Scoreline like 4-0. May as well not even play football. I'd hate to be a fan of Schalke or anyone else who got bummed with the restart of the season.

Smh.. If you didn't think footballers were sheltered little fairies..

Danny Rose complaining they're being treated like lab rats should remove all doubt.

He is such a puss.

It's not like Troy Deeney coming out and saying his new kid has resp issues and he will forgo his cash if needs be.

Rose attitude is what happens when you normalise charitable donations to the NHS as a result of their staffs heightened risk.

Its nonsense. We dont have to go to work if we dont feel safe so in a weird way the clap and the charity normalises that and turns them into weaklings

Anyway forget healthcare for a second. What about the bus drivers, taxi drivers, supermarket staff.

Rose thinks he's precious.

He's made big charitable donations in the past but he's fundamentally weak.

Yeah i can't put up with it

My wife works in HR for amazon at a big site.. she got a tiny bit extra for turning up to work during the middle of a pandemic.. thousands of people work at this site. She goes no fuss or complaining.. she's Latvian.. people in that area of the world love to work for whatever reason.

From what she tells me they have done a decent job of making it safe.. temperature readers as u go in.. mask etc.. social distancing

But even so i doubt it would compare to how pampered footballers will be if they do indeed return in the next few weeks.

Dunno what my overall point was.. but basically my wife worked for the past 8 weeks and the "extra" she got paid to do so.. Danny Rose probably makes in 10 mins.. so he.. Rooney and Co can go **** themselves

I agree with you guys on that part.

I've heard some silly things from athletes, not just footballers but from various sports. They act like the millions they get aren't enough.

That doesn't mean they aren't human and don't deserve to have feelings but I don't think they really acknowledge the position they are in.

These bums complain about playing football in empty stadiums. Like wtf? Yeah, I get it, the fans the atmosphere but they're sorely mistaken if they believe all those people in the stadiums won't be watching on tv. Hell, decades ago, the only way football was "seen" was from over radio. Yet they complain about silly **** like that.

I know it doesn't have to deal with work but it's just a sample of how athletes are deluded by how much they are taken care of and how little they actually relate to the rest of the world.

Now there are some like Kante or Mane who are legitimately down to earth and connected with the rest of us, despite their millions but that's rare which is why they are so much more appreciated than say Paul Poga or Memphis Depay who live in their own bubble with their millions and thinking they are treated bad.

Dont get me wrong. They can have feelings and be socially conscious.

Drogba is an icon. George Weah is a president. Mata is a great guy. Lampard, Arteta, and Klopp all seem like decent, measured guys.

Raheem Sterling is decent young man who actually does engage with the media positively and with his own community.

But these insta footballers. Putting themselves on a pedestal constantly. I cant play - not me. Whilst knowing nurses and docs, drivers, supermarket workers, warehouse operatives like motherduckers wife and construction workers and at this point millions of Brits have put themselves out there. What about the cleaner who cleans their McMansion I bit she still comes.

It's a personal decision to go to work at this time. But dont play the victim here because what they are saying is that their life counts for more somehow.

I dont like it either because they should be connected to their communities better. Rooney is a street kid from Croxteth, Rose is a Yorkshire lad. But now they arent either. Just two c.unts.

Theyve just got no self awareness and no emotional intelligence at all.

I work in HR and those who went into the office for my company got paid a couple of hundred dollars on average, some got less as it depending on how often you went in. Even when we do go back in, they're planning on having temp readers when you go in and change the layout, social distancing. HR to be fair are usually at the forefront...because they have to be as they help shape policy depending on business needs.

footballers are severely pampered.
