  • Poker Players Cali is the place to be!..

Iam talking serious poker players like myself, I read on the forums and theres quite a number of poker players here. Iam from Los Angeles so if you think youre good enough (most of you arent) to make a decent living in Poker, I think Cali is the place to be, we got Commerce Casino, The Bicycle Casino, Hawaiian Gardens Casino, Hustler Casino and many more. I suggest you stay away from Vegas unless you are responsible and diciplined (too many ways to waste your money there). This is how i did it, Ive always had a job untill the last 6 months so it takes pressure off me at the tables knowing i have sure money coming in. Dont go over your limit! if youre moving from another state make sure you have atleast 3-4 months of living money saved up not your Bankroll! your bankroll is totally different from what you have on your Personal Bank Account. Find a Job, and play poker after if not then atleast go to school but you gotta have something to fall back on. Pokers can be very brutal sometimes and it dont matter how good you are; you always gonna have those loosing days! The key to being good at this, is treating it like if youre running a business and be Consistent!....I have friends that go one day and make good money and think its easy but then go the next day and loose it all. I think my record was like 20 straight days where i made money every day.

i am good enough upto 8/16 limit.. i only play limit anyway..
i can consistently win $200 to $400 every game..
10/20 and above is not my game.. so many un****ing believable loose aggressive players that will suck you out on higher limit..

anyhow, i know los angeles is the place to be i used to live there fool and i used to play at hawaiian gardens

one thing i can advice.. online game is 10x tougher than live games.. if you can beat online poker , you can make a living at live games..

I play Pokerstars and Fulltilt poker online, only playmoney, I have close to 20 million in each account. I never play real cash online I don't trust them sites with my money.

Poker is easy and addictive, my real money bankroll is about $18,000 for this year, I only play $2-$5 cash no limit games maybe soon I will move up to $10-$20 no limit cash.

They're 2 completely different games. I know tons of online pros that can't win jack **** live.

Online only seems tougher because you play like 4 times as many hands per hour, so you experience more sucks outs, bad beats, etc. And you have the option of playing multiple tables at one time, which can easily break your concentration.

Your money is as safe with Pokerstars as it is with Paypal, or other places commonly used to purchase **** on ebay.

I am talking limit Holdem fool. No limit is a different animal. If you consistently win limit 5/10 8/16 online, live is easier

It's still the same, fool. I am strictly a limit holdem player. If you play much limit holdem online, you would know that it still requires concentration. You have to pay attention to the way certain players play certain hands, their pattern of betting, etc.

And it doesn't matter if you're playing Limit Holdem, 7 stud, or Razz, if you're playing 6 tables at one time, your concentration isn't what it should be, and you'll be seeing a blue million more hands than you would be seeing live. And you'll be taking more bad beats, and the game will seem harder than live play. To suggest that just because you're a winning player online means you'd be a winning player live is just ****ing stupid. And any real poker player will tell you the same.

Do you guys make a living off this?

Is this like your major source of income or is it just a hobby that gets serious at times?
