  • The Weakness of Eastern Europe Boxers

The weakness of Eastern Euro boxers is that they cannot fight inside.

When Ward went inside against Kovalev and got all up in his sht he folded.

When Canelo came forward and invaded GGG’s space, Lil G backtracked for the 1st time.

When Salido came inside on Loma, even the great nomaschenko panicked.

These Soviet boxers have great range control and jabs, and look like invincible machines on the outside.

But once you take it inside, they aren’t comfortable fighting you there. They need distance. And if you can keep up the pressure, they crack.

Inside fighting is becoming rare. Most fighters can't fight inside, they'd rather tie the opponent up.

Agree with most of this except that Golovkin didn't panic or move back, he was moved back.

They really do rely on fighting from distance. Lennox vs Vitali is a good example. Lennox battered him inside and when they clinched, but I still think he got lucky with the cut.

Loma is brilliant when he's given space to do his magic, but his inside game is non-existent.

Fighting on the inside? You mean grabbing, clinching, rabbit punching, head butting, low blows .. ?

Here's what you need to remember .. in the US, Eastern Euros are not allowed to fight like that. It's all "A side only" stuff.

Bit of a troll thread, but it's true, and you should come back with a boxing argument or STFU

I'm not talking about boxing .. real boxing. I'm talking about who is allowed to cheat in the US and who isn't.
