why shouldnt they ? hunting season is a season just like any other sport and it does a lot of good. provides food, controls the population and its a harmless hobby.

    poaching is a different matter.

They really need to open up hunting for feral horses in the Midwest.

The American Mustang is an invasive species which destroys the landscape. Horses are not native to North and South America, they were introduced by European colonists.

The feral horses are not just invasive, but they also become overpopulated. They are rounded up by the Department of Interior using helicopters and nets, and stored in pins. They are then sometimes auctioned off, and often loaded on cattle trailers and brought to Mexico or Canada, for slaughter (there are no slaughter houses which process horses in the US, and the sale of horse meat is illegal in the US, for some ******ed and arcane reason).

Horse is perfectly good meat and enjoyed all over the world.

        Australia gets it though.
