People that think this is gonna surpass May/Pac numbers are a special kind of stupid.

who is gonna get on a plane to see that fight?

MMA fanboys are just casuals. casual premium boxing fans who buy ringside [celebrities, athletes, etc,] aren't going to go to this sideshow in the droves they'd go to a real fight [i hope.]

i expect a lot more people will be willing to pay the 100 bucks it will take to see it at home. this is a farce of a fight. it's amazing how few people realize that. yes, i get that they don't watch either sport and are drawn to the event because of clever marketing, but you'd think people would understand that one guy is going to another sport and fighting one of the best who has ever done it. floyd was an olympian. his uncle was a world champion and his father was a contender. he's been boxing since before mcgregor was alive, since before MMA was even a sport. he's been a pro since the UFC was just a sideshow with barroom brawlers and dues in ju jitsu gis.

        boxing is largely a scam.

I really thought this is going to sell well as it should and could be tickets are so high. Fight is 16 days away they should lower the tickets.

According to Dana White, they have already done over 60 mil in ticket sales. Dana said the best year the UFC ever had in ticket sales was 44 mil for an entire year. This is just one fight and it has done more than the UFC. Tickets sales will more than like break May/Pac easily.

Floyd has Al Haymon, his long-time lawyer, and his tax attorney in his corner

For all the flash, even Conor McGregor pointed out that Floyd is still actually rolling around in whips that were bought 7 years ago.

Floyd's money is basically socked away in boring income-generating investments, that pay out to him residuals that likely top $20m a year, at a point where he already owns everything he has (debt-free if you believe the cash-and-carry way he lives his day-to-day).

Holyfield and Tyson never seemed to have that straight shooter to check on their books.

Floyd owns his houses across the country, owns his own businesses (TMT, Mayweather Promotions, Mayweather Boxing Club, etc), owns his own gentleman's club, and still had enough cache to run around to make club/promotional appearances and speaking engagements for top-line money.

There's a **** ton of things that would need to go wrong for Floyd to ever end up in trouble.

His problem is his vices. He is a degenerate gambler and for every winning bet he posts on social media there were probably ten losers.

When you reach that sort of wealth you have to expand your horizons and find new interests and ways to keep things fresh. Floyd is limited, so he will spend until he is bored with the cars, planes, jewelry, women, and other depreciating possessions that fail to bring him happiness.

Whether or not he will ever go broke is anyone's guess. He really shouldn't given his investments. But all it takes is one or two legal incidents and a pricey lawyer will cut deep into his finances. Gambling and the wrong women will drain his finances real quick too.

Since there isn't anything else that night worth watching, I say enjoy!

                    Scalpers are screwed.
                    They over estimated the hype.

He's a degenerate gambler who largely bets on favorites, at the same sportsbook; with the log of bets available, there's no doubt in my mind that Floyd's tax attorney has him set in a "gambling business", giving him a tax shelter to offset any losses as his hobby/business expense.

Floyd still only really driving a car that he bought almost a decade ago makes it pretty clear that he's just running around buying vehicles (for the cars that they've shown him buying recently, he's basically kept things to one-of-a-handful type vehicles that he's been able to flip like art pieces).

When not putting his face in front on one of his shows, or making appearances at his gentleman's club, Floyd's either traveling the world on his jet (there's already been talk of Floyd flipping his 2 jets and a bit of scratch for one brand new jet) or chilling at one of his homes around the country.

With residual payments (free cash, basically) coming to him that likely total north of $25m a year at this point (he was already at $12m a year before the Alvarez fight I think, so you can add the Alvarez, Pacquiao, and McGregor takes to the investment pot), Floyd is counting down from a ridiculously high number every month at this point.

Floyd's grown, has the same 2-5 women that he sticks with (depending on what you think the relationships with the women close to him are), and if he were to wife one of them at some point, there's no doubt in my mind that there's going to be a pre-nup in place.

Floyd's got 4 children that he'll spoil through their 18th birthdays (maybe helping them after that, but I doubt any of them simply get to just spend his money after that)
