  • Should every division have a tournament and require every top fighter to participate?

Would that ensure the best are fighting the best at all times?

sanctioning bodies would have to come together and enforce it

We definitely need more of these tournaments

The 2nd tourney at 168 is a little lacklustre though, no way near as effective as it was the first time round. The division is too shallow for it to work well

Cruiserweight though, full of quality fighters which has made it one of the best runs in the divisions history.

They needed to do one at 115, though the current Superfly series is good enough. That division is genuinely stacked full of talent.

Other divisions worth looking at are 118, 154 and 175.

A pipe dream of mine is to see a sanctioning body hold a championship week. For 1 week all of the sanctioning belt holders from minimum to heavy face off against the interim, champ in recess, or highest ranked boxer available. Every belt holder in the organization has to participate or become champion in recess and have the next best boxer fight for the belt. It could be the Super Bowl of boxing.

The sanctioning bodies are one of the main reasons it rarely happens. One champion per division would solve the problem...no tournaments required.

would be great if that was actually possible but since this will mess up too many people pockets they wont allow it.

But yea as a fan I wish they implement something like that. No letting fights to marinate, etc, Theirs a solid list and the champion must face the #2 (mandatory) every year to retain his title or must face the #2 after a volunteer defense if #2 not available then #3 etc etc and is only allowed 1 volunteer defense after he has faced the #2 mandatory, and if that 1 volunteer defense fighter wins he must face the #2 (mandatory) before being able to host a volunteer defense.

This will only work with one universal list. No 4 ranking systems etc.

A good solid list of rankings will be the Transition Boxing Rnaking

Yes it should definitely happen and no it definitely won't. TV networks, A side's and B sides, promoter rivalries are some of the reasons that this can never happen. Enjoy these 2 tournaments while they last, especially the cruisers.

You bsing me? The same abc groups that had that cat last night as a top contender for Gilberto Ramirez?

These groups are corrupt. They aren't going to "fix" boxing. Its naive of you to think it let alone type that bs out & legit believe it if you actually do.
