  • The movie Elysium and it's Anti-Capitalist/Socialist agenda

This is Occupy Wallstreet/We are the 99% VS the rich, greedy 1%... ON STEROIDS. The type of story that gets Rachel Maddow's briefs all moist. All the Socialist-Collectivist sleaze buzzwords will be included, from --anti-immigration-- to --wealth inequality-- (yuck). I guess they're gonna subtly and unjustly blame Capitalism for it.

Of course you know Matt Demon had to sign up for it. As of lately...he has minimized his roles to strictly ideologically leftist ones. From -Promised Land- to now this. There is only one way this movie can redeem itself in my eyes and send the paying crowd home happy...and that is with the rich citizens of Elysium kicking ass and taking names, bringing about Free Market friendly policies & reforms on Earth....turning this apparent Leftist wet dream of a movie into a new version of Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged.

This is an ongoing series....Last one being about the Superman movie:

District 9 was an amazing film. In my opinion, it was the best film of 2009 without a doubt.

What's wrong with ensuring a better world for everyone regardless of those who are lazy? I gladly pay taxes to help support people in need even if there are people who take advantage of the system. I'm more concerned with money I pay going towards international policies that do more harm than good.

Yeah I don't like the look of it either. Apparently being anti-mass immigration makes you a racist and leads to the second coming of Adolf Hitler.

No this isn't a sequel, just has the same actor is all. "District 10" could possibly be his next project:

Despite the fact that a District 9 sequel hasn’t manifested, Blomkamp has kept plenty busy the past few years. His sci-fi epic Elysium, starring Matt Damon, is opening soon with quite a bit of critical buzz. Plus he already has his next project,*Chappie, in the pipeline.

But after that? It sounds like District 10 could be a real possibility, especially since the writer-director has already “written an 18-page treatment for District 10,” according to a profile in Wired. Aside from saying it’s “really f*%$ing cool,” he wouldn’t spill any details, but it's good to hear Blomkamp is finally figuring out where to take the world of District 9 next.

The first film did a great job of world-building, and we’re chomping at the bit to see what Blomkamp could do with a bigger budget and some time to play in the universe he created.
