Pure bullsh@t! If he didn't feel Canelo's shots then why didn't he walk him down and stop him? Canelo had just enough power to keep him off of him. All through the fight he showed Canelo respect.

Canelo on the day of the weigh in (like the pic you posted) is much different from Canelo on fight day. He looked massive next to guys like Smith and Cotto in the ring. He wasn't even able to make 147 at 20 yrs old so how is he a blown up welter? Stop it.
There was a significantly bigger size disparity compared to Cotto-Canelo and that's saying something because Cotto is naturally the smaller man. Cotto fought at 130 in the amateurs, 57% of his pro fights were at 140.
You can even see in ggg's face/body, he looked bone dry like Canelo last did when he fought at 154 against Smith. Canelo looked healthy at 160 which gave the appearance he was bigger.
If you can't tell the difference you need your eyes checked, seriously. ggg's body is thicker, he's taller, he's fought 100% of his fights at MW, and he looked dry compared to Canelo.
Do you think ggg could make 154 like Canelo did against Smith?
Canelo averages around 16lbs during rehydration, that is not that much compared to guys like Chavez who put on upwards of 20lbs.Last edited by Cutthroat; 08-27-2018, 10:17 AM.

The body shots wouldnt score as much as a head shot. Some common sense, if Golovkin went to the body he never would have beaten Canelo at all.
With that said, Golovkin in the interview(video) that I saw said that maybe it was because of the adrenaline, or because canelo was tired, but he didnt feel his power. Both would be the truth, canelo didnt land much of anything in terms of bombs in the first 6 rd's, he only started to land when golovkin felt he had weakened and Then golovkin started presenting his head (margarito style), as he likes to do when he feels he's began dominating. The only one that actually landed bombs early was golovkin with the left hooks in rd3, something most people didnt pick up on, was that golovkin was actually more elusive in the first half than canelo. Even canelo said post fight he was difficult to land on as he gave him his shoulder and moved away when he'd go on the offensive.
You're a clown! That's all you are!
You said body shots don't count as much as head shots.... 🤣
Says who?
That's how I know you're a clown and not a boxer.
