You add that Showtime/CBS has made boxing a key part of their sports package, and it doesn't make sense to cut Showtime out (already in 25m homes, streaming app is being adopted at a consistent clip, CBS having complete reach in the US, boxing budget strong, etc).

Why does it matter if Showtime is cut out or not? Well to anyone except Showtime?

I think DAZN has shown its HEAVILY investing into boxing. More than anyone else in a long time. Believe HBO in the late 90's, early 00's were the last ones throwing 9 digits a year at boxing & I'm not sure anyone in boxing history has thrown 125M/year at boxing like DAZN is (although anyone can feel free to correct me if I'm incorrect there).

Charlo is building on Showtime, but Haymon has already made it clear that he's not going to block a fighter he works with from heading to HBO to fight if the deal makes sense for his fighter.

HBO isn't sending a fighter that they have signed to a deal anywhere, regardless of how much money Hearn has. And Frank Warren seems even less likely to let his fighter off of BoxNation/BT Sports.

This is like saying your doctor would send you to a heart specialist when you got a heart problem, but your heart specialist wouldn't advise you to go to another heart specialist when you got a heart problem lol.

Haymon is a manager. He is SUPPOSED to look out for the best interest of his fighter. A promoter is supposed to put on fights. A promoter not wanting to outsource there fighter to another promoter is some apples to oranges sh^t to a manager looking to outsource his fighters.
