  • Joe Calzaghe :"I'll Come Out Of Retiremet For £10 Million" (Audio)

During a recent interview with the BBC, when asked if he had ever considered a sum of money that would lure him out of retirement, Joe Calzaghe answers, "Ten million, of course. I'd come out of retirement at 50 years old for ten million pounds... everybody got a price."

The only person that can generate that much money for an opponent is boxing's cash cow aka Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.

Thats 1/10th of what Mayweather wants.

And Mayweather is 1/10th the fighter.

It was mentioned with a humorous undertone but I don't believe it was an outright joke, I think Calzaghe was serious about the figure. Many retired fighters would return to the ring for that amount of money, it's equivalent to roughly $16 million dollars.

If Vitali can pull that number against a punk like Solis, I dont see why Joe cant.
