Deontay has spoken positively on his time with GBP, there's a video out where he was saying Golden Boy will always be family.

Deontay got the worst of the GBP/Haymon/Schaeffer fallout, for sure, but Haymon also got Wilder lots of paydays against C-level guys once Wilder got that belt.

Wilder needs a manager and publicist more than he needs a new promoter.

ODLH to Wilder: hit me up when you wanna make real money

Golden Boy's Oscar De La Hoya has offered to re-sign Deontay Wilder after the WBC heavyweight improved his standing on the world stage considerably at the weekend.

Wilder blasted out Luis Ortiz in the tenth round despite almost being stopped in the seventh session to retain his green and gold belt for a seventh time.

'The Bronze Bomber' is now in line for a massive payday in a huge undisputed unification with the winner of Anthony Joshua v Joseph Parker and De La Hoya wants to be the driving force behind Wilder again.

Wilder left Golden Boy for Al Haymon's Premier Boxing Champions once the company was formed as the American was already tied to the understated Floyd Mayweather advisor.

Since then, Wilder has gone from strength-to-strength without the platform of Pay-Per-View and De La Hoya has promised to do similar for the 32 year-old to what he's done for Canelo Alvarez's profile.

        odlh tweet

(Deontay Wilder) congratulations on such a great accomplishment when everyone doubted you, hit me up when you wanna make real money and have someone who will promote you to be a PPV star," said De La Hoya, who recently announced Canelo would face Gennady Golovkin in a PPV rematch on May 5.

To De La Hoya's credit, Canelo is one of the biggest earners in the sport, whilst Wilder made $2.1 million for his victory over Cuban Ortiz at Barclays Center.

The public move, stated on social media, won't go down well with Lou DiBella though, as the DiBella Entertainment chief is currently representing Wilder.

Moving to 40-0 in New York, Wilder is now closer than ever to Joshua's standing as the main man in the division and DiBella is ready to negotiate a super-deal with the Briton's promoter Eddie Hear

        Thoughts???????????

ODH is going to pay Deontay to whip him with the BBC and protect him when he goes out to buy coke.

Oscar clearly just having some fun and trolling lol but he's got a point. Looking at the purses Wilder should sign with a real promoter. Made only 2M for a heavyweight KO machine. After he won the belt 3 years ago he made 1.4M and all these years later he is barely making more then that? If he signed with Golden Boy, Hearn, Top Rank he would be cashing bigger checks and fighting on PPV by now.

              He hasn't been promoted well.

He's a 6'7 American heavyweight champion with 7 title defences and has knocked every man he's ever been in the ring with out, he is extrovert and bombastic and is good at fighting talk. Conversely, he can be thoughtful and deliver good insight when looking at his rivals fight. He has an interesting back story and his fights are pure drama. He is one of the most exciting fighters in boxing.

As a British boxing fan AJ's status has had knock on effects that has benefitted the sport over here as a whole. But as a boxing fan in general someone like Wilder should be a global star. He's box office.

No one has promoted him from what I can tell apart from himself.

Oscar is funny... I guess Linares should be asking when is he gonna make real money and become a star instead of getting 250k pay checks. Maybe Linares should hit up Haymon and PBC for some real paychecks.

Deontay needs to start his own boxing promotion "Wilder Boxing" ala "Mayweather Promotions" and stick with Haymon because Haymon has proven what he can do with that type of situation. Prime example: TMT.
And, Mikey Garcia should do the same.
