  • Is woman still the ''N'' of the world as Lennon said?

John Lennon denounced how woman was treated many years ago. He was kind of a feminist himself. We probably have to thank Yoko for that.

I suggest you listen to the reasons why he believes he can use the N word before making judgments or whatever. He explains in the beginning, then he performs that great song.

Today, it seems women are treated better in many part of the world, but the battle is far from over yet, and it hasn't even started in some parts of the world (or so it seems). On the other hand, many people now refers to women using degrading words like ''slut'', ''whore'', bitch and so on, and many women degrade themselves by getting down to the level some men want them to be at (slut).

So is woman still the ''N'' of the world ?

at that time, and being who he was, and how he explained it, he certainly gets a pass for it imo. It was a different time then.

Today it wouldn't fly no matter who said it. Very sensitive politically correct society we live in now.

He can't enjoy the money his music is generating, he can't get pussy anymore, he can't enjoy the praise all his fans are giving him.

I would rather be a bum browsing the Internet and alive, than a dead musical legend.

At least I can still bust a nut and eat butt.

someday, people will be busting a nut and eating butt while you'll be dead, so I don't see your point

dead or not, Lennon is still relevant

lol in todays western society women got MORE rights than men. Women can hit a man and we can't do jack **** about it, women don't get drafted into the army.. OH and if a woman pull the rape card on you there's a 50/50 chance you'll see bars despite not having done it. A ***** tried that **** on one of my friends once but she broke down in court and couldn't go through with her lie. Did she get arrested for pulling that ****? Nope..

right. Yes I still think that holds true today in many parts of the world.

I also believe women are held back from advancing as far as they could intellectually even in america. For example when they are just little kids, they are taught to play house and watch Cinderella (dreaming of marrying a rich prince as if that's the ultimate goal for a woman), etc etc etc., which imo prevents them from excelling in other areas like mathematics and science. They are taught to play the role of a girl, which means certain things are expected of them and they aren't expected to do other things.

Most people believe women's brains just don't function in a way that mens do which means they will typically always suck at math, but it's how they are raised imo. For example one of the greatest female chess players ever her father taught her math at a very early age and chess and she excelled to an extremely high level. fuuck I'm totally rambling now haha.

Judit Polgár is the woman I'm talking about if anyone cares:
Polgár and her two older sisters, Grandmaster Susan and International Master Sofia, were part of an educational experiment carried out by their father László Polgár, in an attempt to prove that children could make exceptional achievements if trained in a specialist subject from a very early age.[4] "Geniuses are made, not born", was László's thesis. He and his wife Klara educated their three daughters at home, with chess as the specialist subject. However, chess was not taught to the exclusion of everything else. Each of the sisters has several diplomas and speaks four to eight languages. Their father also taught his three daughters the international language Esperanto.
