not many at all, all the casuals that saw the first one won't want to see it again considering everyone with braincells saw a Golovkin win.

Cinco de Mayo, though... could mean a lot more buys... the first fight was kind of overshadowed by the McTw@tter fiasco

First fight did over 1.3M buys and people forgetting Canelo also fought Chavez last year and that did over 1M buys so NO chance the rematch does less then 1M lol
2 huge factors 1) Cinco De Mayo is a bigger holiday bigger deal in the US then Mexican Independence day. People who aren't even Mexican go drinking on that day and have no clue about Mexican Independence day. Plus this year that day falls exactly on a saturday. So they are not fighting not Cinco De mayo weekend where say the actual day is earlier in the week but instead they are fighting on May 5 when a huge amount of the country is partying and this fight will be the background for every party.
2) There is no Floyd/McGregor circus fight that takes away from the first 2 months of the promotion. The first fight really only had a 1 month promotion which started after Floyd/McGregor was done. I remember folks here predicting because of the Floyd fight that nobody would buy this and it would do under 1M. Now they have no PPV competition they are clearly the biggest PPV fight of the year.
The rematch will make more money then the first fight did.

That being said though, the rematch should be as successful.

Around 1 mil. Last fight wasn't that entertaining and if you think about it, the last few Canelo fights have been a bit boring. Canelo hasn't been in an exciting fight, and knocking out over matched opponents isn't that exciting. Prior to GGG he was fighting over matched opponents like Khan, Smith and Chavez Jr. and those fights weren't that exciting. Even the Cotto fight wasn't all that, his fights are pretty much on par as Mayweather's last fights. It don't matter if the fight is on Cinco de Mayo, Oscar who was more well known fought on mexican dates regularly and only did over 1 mil buys 3 times. I feel the first fight, for all the talk from Oscar that it was a real fight, a can't miss action fight, it ended up being a dud that people were put off by it, along with the scoring of the fight. Seemed people were more entertained by the circus fight than the so called real fight.
