Just found out there is a new live-action Aladdin coming out, not sure if it's a movie or a play, but Will Smith is playing the role of the genie. What the fucc is this? Couldn't they find any Arab people to play the role?

I don't know about that, I'm sure there are articles from those very same people criticising both the Mercury Arabwashing and the Genie blackwashing. Not interested in the Mercury case as I have no gay friends, but my Arab friend is PISSED to say the least. He is ranting about Hollywood and who controls it and all this weird chit. I wanted to read an article critical of the blackwashing to try and calm him down and see his point of view except from a calmer, more professional perspective.
