  • 2 division top 10 fighters

How many fighters have a claim for being an all time top 10 fighter in 2 of the original 8 divisions?.

Robinson will be the first name that springs to mind so lets just get him out of the way now...that's a gimme.

I'll start off with Barney Ross at lightweight and welterweight.

Who do you got? Don't be afraid to list guys who may be on the fence, lets get some discussion going!

Ezzard Charles in LHW and MW (arguable top 10, not sure I'd put him there personally). Harry Greb at MW and LHW.

      Good thread. Something different.

Armstrong has an argument to be in the Top 10 of 3; Featherweight, Lightweight, Welterweight.

Greb - Middleweight & Light Heavyweight.

      Hmm, tough question.

Would be much easier if you included all weight classes I.E Holyfield - CW & HW, Arguello 126 & 130, Ortiz 135 & 140, Hearns 147 & 154, etc etc

      But Orginal 8 I think there's only a handful.

Arguello was talented enough to be top ten at 135. The problem is that he only had eight fights at that weight, and we are talking top 10 all time here.

One could make the argument that ezzard charles was top 3 LHW top 3 HW

Another underrated win in which marciano gets 0 credit for even though charles was only 32 and had twice the ring experience and was taller and weighed more and had way longer reach
