We all remember the first time Mayweather very publicly avoided Khan and instead chose someone Khan had already beaten in Marcos Maidana. Floyd had instituted a poll on his website for the public to choose his next opponent but despite Khan winning that poll by a considerable margin, Floyd chose to fight the loser of the poll. Clearly he'd always intended to avoid Khan and had assumed the public would vote for Maidana. It was possibly the most undeniable and open "ducking" of a fighter in recorded history and may never be matched in it's sheer conspicuousness.
However, there has now emerged a possibility that Mayweather might not stake sole claim to being "The Most Public Ducker In History" because the question now is, will Pacquiao avoid Khan in exactly the same way Mayweather did if Khan wins the public poll to be Pacquiao's next opponent?
