i am fully aware, man. been skiing for 25 plus years and i've bootpacked and skied most of the lines in the tuckerman bowl.


unfortunately, reading the article, your friend had no business hiking the presidentials in the winter. there are very few 20 year olds on the planet with that kind of experience. i'm 30, a very strong skier and hiker, and i don't hike tuckerman until april or may.
