K2 surely looking to secure a December fight. Obviously there are the priorities at 160 like Saunders, Eubank and Jacobs but they need back up plans, Lara would be decent but probably not a good look to fight a 154 pound guy immediately after a blown up welterweight.

After they signed the Brook fight, DeCubas says Loeffler talked to Haymon about Lara. But now DeCubas's talking about how much BJS turned down ($4mill) and what Brook/Eubank were offered ($5mill), and thinking his guy is going to make big money.

Lara made $700k vs Vanes in their rematch.

Lara has been calling out Golovkin for how long now?

This is a huge opportunity for him to make the fight as smooth as possible. People don't want to hear excuses. They don't want to hear him negotiating through the media. We all know most fights happen without fans even knowing they're in the negotiation process. This should be one of them and we should expect to hear dates, venues, not how much he wants and all that crap.

Remember Lara claims he's dying to get a piece of Golovkin. Let's see it.

We now expect Lara to fight some cab driver in the MW in prep for his fight with Golovkin, presumably late this year or early next year.

I don't understand why some people are expecting ggg's team or his promoter to guarantee lara's money demands...that's not how it works.

lara has his own promoter/manager which is different from golovkin's.

if lara really wants a ggg fight he needs to talk to al haymon about his money demands. if loeffler is really reaching out to haymon that's a good thing but there's no way loeffler has to deal with lara's demands...that's not how co-promotion works.

The bottom line is the bottom line. In the end GGG -Lara is a good matchup but in no way a PPV or megafight. Top regular budget for a GGG fight is probably $2.5mil max so no way can Lara expect more than, say $1.25 mil, but as Decubas mentioned he's getting a mil for the likes of Delvin. How much does he want the belts (and the money that could come from the win)? How much does GGG want a recognised 'quality' opponent?

We're seeing signs Lara is not serious about fighting Golovkin. It's all fake. If he's not willing to talk to his own adviser Haymon and prefers to negotiate thru the media, then this guy is just a big pretender.

IDC how much he gets offered... if lilg wants those big names as he stated he's gonna have to start making some sacrifices like EVERY boxer has done in this sport. What makes him so special to get all the benefits etc?
