Kovalev has very good fundamentals. People think of him as just a puncher, and it's really not the case, as his boxing skills are very underrated.

Kovalev would knock him out in my opinion. Froch was easy to hit. If Kovalev can hit you often he will knock you out. Froch was almost KOed by Taylor and he has been knocked down and hurt by Groves who doesn't punch nearly as hard as Kovalev. I thought Kovalev deserved to win the first fight with Ward. Ward beat Froch very easily by a wide margin,
