can anyone give me a good free virus protection software i can download for free.

Any solid one you can trust, is going to cost money. I just pay for Webroot and be done with it.

True, but they normally go on sale in late 2008 and thats when I bought it. local computer shop ain't got the new one in yet so will have to wait.
