    Heritage pride.

    I don't even know why it's a question.

Pancho Villa was the first Asian to be world champion and be in the hall of fame .

Jeff Fenech was the first Asian/Pacific/Australian 3-division champion. Pac, second.

Oddly enough, John Ruiz was the first heavyweight titleholder of Puerto Rican heritage.

Silly meaningless propaganda. Being the best to ever do it is what a person should aim for.

Well, Ruiz has zero chance there.

And the Mexicans are not even going to be claiming that.

He is bigger. he is a heavyweight champ, he beat Joshua, dropped him 4 times. What the hell must he do to be bigger?

Canelo fights guys nobody knows. GGG and jacobs are good wins, but stopping Joshua is another galaxy.

If a person isn't aiming to be the best, that other ''compliment'' is like giving a person an award for coming in 5th. Or a ''Swell Effort'' sash.

Let's see if this was a fluke.

My fear is Ruiz now does a Fury/Douglas and balloons to way over 300lbs after his shock win here. If he wants to be bigger than Canelo he has to stay focused and not throw it all away.

He won't... But should he beat AJ again, he'll become a known star similar to SSR when he beat Chocolatito and JFE, only more popular because he's a Heavyweight...
