In this cases when you don't hear anything then its not positive inside the whole thing. This is similar to fans wanting to hear more news surrounding Michaeal schumacher after his skiing accident. 5 years now and no updates in terms of him being in a better condition.

Not enough information coming out to determine anything. Have a family member who was in a coma for two months. The family member survived but their way of life was forever altered. If he does pull through I think it's an easy call to say his days in the ring are over. Sad!

Sulaiman visited him in hospital a couple of days ago, but did not address the issue of paying his medical bills.

He wasn't even hit that hard IIRC.

He is a POS of a person... but would rather he live broke or arrested for his crimes.

Still unfair to his family... (unless he beat them too).

But just goes to show you... we can call fighters bums... but they are putting their lives on the line.

He was put in because his brain was swelling. He did need it.

That is the last I read too. Sounds like he has some brain damage and may never be normal again.

Not only swelling, but bleeding as well.

"Does the WBC intend to cover Stevenson’s medical expenses, which could be exorbitant and last many years?"

I would hope he had medical insurance or that the canadian NHS or whatever its called will cover him. If they are asking if the WBC would be able to pay his deductibles and other miscillaneous things that is one thing, or if the WBC has some kind of health insurance coverage they offer fighters that would cover him.

But if they are asking if the WBC would pay the entirety of his care out of pocket... realize that could cost millions and be enough to bankrupt the WBC if Stevenson were to be required to be in a nursing home for the rest of his life.

"According to Adonis Stevenson's spouse, he has shown encouraging signs today. He opened an eye when she spoke to him. His relatives cling to this hope. Doctors have now reduced sedation. We continue to send them positive waves."

Usually, in situations like that, do people open an eye or eyes? Yes, it might be something lost in translation, I understand, but I doubt French and English are that different. My point is that there were rumors that a half of Stevenson's body is paralyzed...
