Didn't he call ruiz butterbean? Why not just apologize and move on instead of talking nonsense for 2 minutes?

That's clearly the usual xenophobic bias from A Smith, always hating on euro ballers (Giannis, Doncic, Jokic, Porzingis),

and latino fighters (Canelo, Ruiz ect...)

I swear SPence, Floyd and LJ receive a whole other type of treatment from SAS.

The double standard is pretty much obvious.

steven a is rich enough, embedded enough, and he doesn't need boxing. he's just going to dismiss all of the talk that he was "exposed" for not having a damn clue who ruiz is; a top 10 guy in his division and somebody you should know if you claim to follow boxing even casually.

but we all know damn well, and the rest of thr world is starting to figure out, that SAS knows nothing about boxing, does not watch boxing, and is only there talking boxing because ESPN sells race and wants to have a black pundit appear to be an expert on boxing.

the two best boxing pundits at ESPN are teddy atlas and max kellerman. SAS just literally yells over kellerman. yeah, kellerman has bad takes on lots of sports, but the guy called boxing maatches for 20 years and is a legit boxing historian. go ask max kelllerman about ANY fighter from his lifetime and he'll blow you away with his historical perspective. it's really something to see. and atlas was a world class trainer and the most thorough expert commentator i've seen in any boxing match during his tenure calling FNF

Espn really got to stop having Stephen A Smith talk boxing and Max Kellerman talk basketball. Let them both just stay in there lanes.

guy has zero humility. that's what you get when you're loved by fanatics and hyper f#cking rich.

SAS is probaly worth 15 or 20 million bucks. he makes close to 5 million a year in salary. he does not give a f#ck what anybody on twitter says. the guy is so deluded that he doesn't give a f3ck what andre ward had to say.

what i like is that this comment is starting to follow him around. keep piling this **** on and eventually people will recognize you're a fraud. the best thing that could happen from this is that SAS gets pulled from talking boxing. second best thing would be that he actually starts to watch the sport.

Stephen A knows very little about boxing IMO. He is put on boxing because without him, ESPN's boxing wouldn't attract african american viewers, especially during the the summer months when there is no basketball or football on the network, just baseball.

I hate Tessitore, Stephen A, Kriegel and Bernardo Osuna. Get rid of all of them.

ESPN has Atlas who should be the lead boxing guy but he loves the sport too much to be a shill for TR so they will not put him in that spot. Hell Rafael would be better then Stephen A. BUnce would be as well.

In a perfect world they'd give us Atlas, Max and a non TR employee but that will never happen.

Yeah they fired Atlas who had decades of boxing knowledge because he went against the company line and called out a BS ruling. We get Steven A because hes become a mini celebrity and yes to bring in the black audience. Thats why they bring in celebrities like Shack and Kevin Kart to rip on him and build his celebrity. But its painful to watch generic "sports" commentators talk boxing when they dont know **** about it or about the analysis of boxing.

Even this rant in the video is to build up Steven A's celebrity. I never seen legit boxing commentators start talking about some fighter's tweets to them.

I wonder if they put Kellerman on basketball as punishment for going from ESPN to HBO back in the day.
