He knocked back a contract that would, if he could beat Joshua away and then at home, would've seen him hold every heavyweight belt, with no further obligations and he would've banked close to $40m in the process.

That was the first one he knocked back, the second offered him more.

Why is nobody asking what Wilder makes from the $50m offer?

We know he only commands $2.1m vs Ortiz. We know he was going to land on a 50% split if the fight exceeded financial expectations.

But what was his guaranteed fee? $5m, $10m? Is it more than the $15m currently on the table for him? Why aren't you calling him a ducker for either a) turning down his highest payday or b) offering a deal which includes 50% to himself plus all home advantages?

The only bluff here is Haymon/Showtimes $50m guarantee or 50/50 split offer. Do you notice they never made an improved 60/40 offer?

Why would they "improve an offer" if Joshua is already entitled to the first $50m cleared on the fight, lol?

Wilder-Joshua happens in Las Vegas, and between all of the revenues, $65m-$75m to the fighters isn't a difficult figure to reach.

The 50% only kicks in over $100m in fighter payouts; +2m homes on SHOPPV, matching Mayweather-McGregor on Sky Box Office, drawing +$20m at the gate, etc.

Joshua alone isn't drawing that type of money, so why wouldn't things be split 50/50 at such a level

Nobody left for AJ to fight. He could fight Povetkin, Whyte then Fury and earn 10x what Wilder gets per fight. Whilst Wilder fights scrubs for chump change.

Why would Hearn increase his offer after BEATING Povetkin. If anything AJ value would have increased further.

He dictates everything it's called being the A side, something Wilder and his fans can't grasp and that is the reason the fight isn't happening. He isn't willing to take 5 times his biggest purse for the chance to become the A side as he is a coward.

Because Joshua is closer to drawing that money than Wilder is. He is the proven draw, albeit in a different market.

They could have just withdrawn or lowered the guarantee and offered a 60/40, 65/35 or 70/30 split to Joshua. If they truly wanted to bring Joshua to the US and buy home advantage for Wilder they could have done it. But they never even tried. They just tried to lowball him through that YouTube video he did. A PR play, and a well executed one at that.

There ain't no way Haymon is 'gambling or risking' on this fight. If he's offering a $50m guarantee he projects he's making money either on the fight itself or the investment in Wilder or Joshua.

If Wilder can do anywhere close to those numbers on his own then maybe he would be justified in trying to hold Joshua to his word.
