  • [LMAO!] Guy tests cop's patience after getting pulled over for speeding

A Texas police officer smashed the driver's side window of a man's car during a traffic stop. When the driver refused to roll down his window after he was stopped for speeding, the officer spent nearly four minutes trying to get the driver to comply.

The officer was saying he was going to arrest the man for failing to identify himself.

The driver, Scott Richardson said: "I would do it all over again because I was right, and if I'm right, I'm not gonna back down."

Police did not agree with the man's interpretation of the law.

He was arrested and charged with not only failing to present his license, but also for having an invalid license and expired tags.

TL;DR: guy refused to show license acting like a smartass until cop smashes window to get driver out of the vehicle

If you were the cop, how would you have reacted/handled the situation?

Thats pretty funny, but once a cop pulls you over he has a job to do and **** like this is just annoying and interfering with his job ofcourse hes going to get mad.

Why not just take the damn ticket

Measured response from the cop. The clown who shot the video is a sovereign citizen. They believe some pretty wacky nonsense about how law works.

The funniest part is this guy will get a huge settlement not only for the damage but also due to the fact that he was unlawfully detained and arrested. He did nothing wrong despite what these pro-cop mindless drones will tell you. The best part is, the dopey ass rager cop will get fired. Lost his career because he couldn't follow the laws. Pathetic.

              Actually he did:

The expired tags were the probable cause for the stop, and you can be arrested for driving without a valid license.

It isn't illegal to "fail" to provide your license. You don't have to present it.

And they didn't find out about the DL until AFTER he busted the window.

By your logic, it's OK for cops to bust into your home without a search warrant and then arresting you for finding some weed on the table. Doesn't work that way.

No he won't, no he wasn't. He was pulled over for speeding. He was cited for refusal to produce a license and a bunch of other stuff and it cost him $800 plus the cost of the legal repair.

This guy got bad legal advice from the internet. Don't be like him.

Yes it is. You have to provide your license on demand if pulled over while driving. Every state has such a rule.

And they didn't find out about the DL until AFTER he busted the window.
They didn't find out he was refusing to provide his license until he smashed the window? He smashed the window to place the driver under arrest FOR failing to produce his license.

By your logic it's legal to get a baby and shoot it from a cannon!

Wait, hand on... that's not logic!

                    You're right. It isn't.

You're protected from unreasonable search and seizure. You are not protected from having to produce your drivers license on demand upon being asked to by an officer of the law, nor are you protected from being busted for speeding just by saying "speeding isn't illegal".

I know you just got your masters degree from the Law School of Youtube, but honestly you don't know shit.
