    Fair enough! In that case, yes, Canelo did 'light up' Golovkin occasionally. However, I don't see why that is something to be too impressed with in the context of the whole fight holistically.

      Golovkin landed more punches and none of them hurt Canelo, that means more points for Canelo using this tards logic.

        Professional boxing is about HURTING the opponent, unlike in amateur boxing where merely making contact is enough. HURTING the opponent is part of what makes a punch EFFECTIVE. If a punch doesn't hurt or effect an opponent in any other way, then that punch isn't an effective punch.

        In the fight, Golovkin's punches were effecting Canelo Alvarez more than vice versa. Golovkin also landed more of those punches. Thus, Golovkin won the fight in the effective punching department.
