People are sleeping on Rios's drawing power. Hes done multiple million views on HBO and multiple FOTY candidates

Canelo has never been in a FOTY candidate

If HBO does have Rios fight than Canelo won't sell more than 150k PPV's

The Rios fight will have no effect in the amount of sales the ppv does. No one interested in the Canelo/Lara fight will be swayed away by a Rios vs TBA type of fight. If the ppv does bad numbers it'll have more to do with Canelo/Lara than with Rios.

Rios is the kind of fighter that people tune in to watch for free but won't pay for because he hasn't made it to PPV level yet

I'm saying people are going to watch the free event with a fighter than has been in numerous FOTY candidates over paying 70 bucks to watch Canelo fight a cuban who has a "boring style"

Can't find the ratings for the first fight but I'm pretty sure it did over a million

October 13, 2012: “HBO Boxing After Dark” (Nonito Donaire vs. Toshiaki Nishioka) averaged 835,000 viewers watching Live + Same Day.
                      That was the main event.

It's very rare for the under card to do better than the main event.

It's not going to be a big deal.

If it was GGG or Chavez jr that would be something, or even if Rios was fighting another exciting fighter like Ruslan.

Like I said I don't think SHO has anything to worry about.
