Manny is at his best if he instinctive which would be a version that would give Floyd the most trouble.

There is a reason why Floyd has ducked the fight for 5 years now, let's keep it real.
It's easy to note ones work rate and not acknowledge that it isn't gonna apply itself against said style. Juan Diaz had a great work rate, very good conditioning as well and he simply couldn't get off combinations against Malignaggi, granted we're talking about two greats in Pacquiao and Mayweather. Still, an old Mosley managed to cut Pacquiao's offense, Marquez in the 3rd fight did the same as well. That offense of Manny was never gonna do it for him, he would need a knock out to win.

the same can be said for floyd ....would floyd cut manny's workrate in half ?..most certianly ..but with floyd's already low workrate and defensive style, his workrate would also drop vs a high volume puncher....the most likely way to beat floyd by manny is by workrate, not by ko...imo

... Did you just compare Juan Diaz' workrate to Manny's? ... ...

Anyway, Pacquiao's work rate comes with awkward angles and blazing speed. Not to mention Pacquiao can throw a 5 punch combination at you like it's nothing.

... That's the thing, you can avoid Manny's punches if you go into survival mode, which is what Pacquiao forced Clottey and Mosley to do. Sure, you can cut his offense and not win rounds.

That won't apply itself against an opponent who can control distance and see that. That's common sense really, unless you want to believe that

Why you think Pacquiao is always lunging in off balance and reaching when confronted with movement?

No, Floyd at one point had a low work rate, if you remember correctly one thing that was used against Floyd was the fact that he didn't jab, jab to the head that is. He was so athletically gifted that he got away with not setting up his punches, it wasn't until Sr. got back with him during the Marquez fight that he put the kind of emphasis towards the jab that he should have.

Also, Floyd's workrate isn't gonna drop against Pacquiao, Pacquiao's lunging in and reaching is only gonna open up opportunities for Floyd.

and what did that get Cotto? Nevermind Cotto has one the best jabs in boxing something Manny can't say.
