At first glance, I thought this might be a gimme fight for Dirrell, since Jack made him look like a puppy his last time out. However, Rubio is a seasoned veteran who might just spank the dog & rub his nose in it.

Jamie McDonnell vs Tomoki Kameda: The Sky boxing panel's predictions

Some have questioned the wisdom of Jamie McDonnell opting to give Tomoki Kameda an immediate rematch. Do The Panel think he can make a third defence of his WBA world bantamweight title?

      Kell Brook
I think McDonnell's confidence and belief will tell. After the first victory, he really knows that he's got the beating of him and he'll have done different things in training. Jamie's trained really hard and has conditioned himself perfectly so he's not just going out there to do what he did again - he's going out there to try and win even more convincingly.

I think McDonnell will win on points. As for the future, he'll fight anyone. Boxing pays the bills for him and there's nothing much more for him to do at bantamweight, so I think he'll move up. He's not a massive puncher but when you're in there, it digs a bit. He's got enough power to gain your respect.

      Jim Watt
You're talking to a guy who boxed back in the time when they were a dozen divisions and two world champions. Full credit to McDonnell for taking the rematch because most people would move on. It's a sign of confidence. It's a tough match though and he only won by the skin of his teeth last time. I think of the two, Kameda can improve more. Jamie boxed out of his skin last time and I don't think he can do much different.

It's a dangerous rematch for Jamie because I think Kameda can get better but repeating the victory could put him in the mix for some really big fights. I don't really have a favourite but if I was pushed, I'll go for McDonnell on points because he won the first time with everything against him.

      Carl Froch
In the history of rematches the one that wins the first fight usually wins the second one more impressively, unless there's been a disaster in the first fight, so I can only see Jamie McDonnell doing just that. I actually thought Tomiki Kameda wasn't that close when it came to the decision.

McDonnell knows exactly what he's up against this time and I think he will really step on the gas and rise to the occasion. I think he will do the business but this one will be even more clear-cut. Not comfortable for Jamie but a wide points win.

      Anthony Crolla
I really hope Jamie can do this again. I think it's going to be another tight affair but I still feel he can pull it off. Hopefully after this, he starts getting the credit he deserves. I think people need to start looking at him and giving him the praise and exposure he has earned. He went over there as an underdog last time and came home with a win in what I think is one of the best wins for a British fighter on away soil in recent times.

I think it'll be another fight and I think McDonnell will have to weather some rocky patches but he's got a great engine so he should win the late round and squeeze home on points.

They say the rematch is usually easier if you've won but I'm a Yorkshire boy and I actually don't think this is a good move for Jamie McDonnell. I want to say that he'll win but if he's going over there to do it against Kameda but then I think straight away that he'll lose on points. I hope he pulls it off but taking the rematch straight away, in Texas, I just wouldn't do it.

They've both got new trainers and now Jamie has changed his regime, his diet and his fitness. Kameda has done the same thing so it's all down to whose new team suits them better. I wouldn't try and change Jamie's style - I'd just try and increase his fitness. I fear Kameda wins on points.

      Jamie Moore
t's a tough ask. I thought early on it looked like it was going to be a hard night's work for him because he looked like he was struggling. I think the knockdown woke him up a bit, to be honest, and I thought it was a great performance. After that, he bit down on his gumshield and really took it to Kameda. I think we might even see a better McDonnell - experiences like that can improve fighters.

I think McDonnell will grow in stature. Last time he went over there and thought he could do it and now he knows he can do it. Confidence is going to be key and I think McDonnell will do it on points.

      Glenn McCrory
I think Jamie can repeat the trick and retain his title. His confidence must be sky-high at the minute, he's flying high and turned in a great performance last time. I've been impressed by the way McDonnell has gone about his business and I think he still has improvement in him. He's coming on well.

I think Kameda is a good fighter but I just feel that McDonnell has his number and it'll be the same story as last time in Texas. It's still a cracking fight but I see McDonnell getting better again and McDonnell securing another points victory.

Its hard to pick because Rubio is not as durable as I would like but he has real power and dirrell is a ***** and will fold up and look for a way out as soon as he can.

So my vote is Rubio to win by TKO or NC, or DQ.

War Rubio I guess even though I'm turned off by his lack of cojones.
