Also, I'm quite shocked that nobody has mentioned the story of Richard Gere being admitted to a Los Angeles County hospital several years ago for having a gerbil stuck up his ass. A story that has about as much credibility as the mothman story does itself.

seems to be harmless now, but the attitude of the TS is the same attitude that was displayed by people during the time of the inquisition that got thousands of innocent women burned at the stake accused of witchcraft...

the fact that the inquisition has faded away because science has explained a plethora of phenomena that otherwise one has to attribute to superstition is the answer you are looking for...

Im sure thoses women where not witches....but we cant prove or disprove that. Same with the Mothman, no one can disprove it or the hundreds of reports. Most people fear the unknown, I embrace it.

In this case its quite implausible and improbable a giant flying half moth half human creature scared locals in a village for a while.
