spinks was ranked #1 at the time and he had been ko'd by zab at WW right before moving up, i think that proves that WW was the much better division.

People are just haters, and can get **** when it concerns things and people they don't like. Basically, a full JMW Oscar gave a WW Floyd a better fight than most if not any of the WW at the time could have. And by ignoring it, they can continue saying Floyd only fights smaller guys and such.

That is like saying why people ignore Pac history in his last 4 fights while trashing his LW history...

          It makes no sense...

Because like one of the other posters said. He avoided the best welterweight fighters when he claimed he was the best welterweight in the world. He waited till the Welterweights defeated each other and came back to fight a super flyweight fighter Marquez and still couldn't knock him out.

pac should get **** for not taking a random blood test (not a pac fanatic)

and floyd should not get that much credit for beating oscar at 154

floyd seriously underperformed in that match and was altogether way too cautious he could have pushed for a tko or just punished oscar but as usually he didnt

the oscar that floyd fought was not a more difficult fight than the fights with cotto, margocheato, mosely (who he is fighting.....finally) at welter

floyd saw an opportunity to make a lot of money against oscar and he took it and like floyd told margocheato when he confronted him about wanting a match with floyd

floyd said "you would haved done the same thing too" (took the oscar fight)

i wonder why did he fight Marquez, hatton but not margarito since he called him out face to face:thinking1:

Oscar was a better fighter than Margarito, and would of had more of a strength and weight advantage. Marquez was just a glorified sparring session to get rounds in and make money.

come on you that De La Hoya was huge compared to the weight drained De la hoya at Welterweight, it is disrespectful to compare their victories over the great de la hoya when Mayweather had alot of provisions like the size of the ring the size of the gloves the weight etc. I believe Mayweather had to weight 152 pounds at the weigh in.
