"Over the weekend, a series of exciting match ups went down for mixed martial arts fans worldwide. That being said, it would appear that one of the night’s amateur events ended in a rather brutal bout.

Favela Kombat 30: Extreme Evolution recently went down in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Featured on the night’s card, amateur fighters Vanessa Santos and Janaina Soares faced off for the local crowd.

Santos defeated her opponent by way of TKO via doctor stoppage. During the fight, Soares suffered what appears to be an absolutely massive contusion of sorts on her face. Check out the perhaps historically brutal head injury within the picture provided below."
