  • Would Vitali finally get respect if he destroys his little brother?

In other words.. would Vitali's ranking rise considerably if he destroyed Wlad in a fight? Wlad is an alltime great... would this shut people's mouths or would we hear that Wlad was a weak chinned paper champion & nothing else. You guys realize all it takes is one scheduled fight against the little bro for Vitali's ENTIRE alltime great ranking to change dramatically where honestly you could say he's the GOAT without being considered a nuthugger.

This is Vitali 40 yrs old whacking a champion that hasn't been beaten in nearly a decade & has arguably been as dominant as him in that time span... Unifying all 4 belts.. becoming undisputed.... all it takes is one goddamn fight... the fact that 90% of fans think Vitali beats him is not enough... you guys have to see it happen & then all of your bs resume conspiracies of him not beating an alltime great... not having any worthy accomplishments go down the drain..

Smart people already respect Vitali and know his worth.

The rest of are just malcontents of one kind or another: who cares what they think?

You make a good point.. Unfortunately... the way the majority of boxing fans wrongly view him has alot to do with how the media portrays him & his brother. It's the media i blame more than the misinformed morons on these forums.. If Vitali would have gotten better play through the media it would trickle down to how most casual fans view him in the context of boxing history.. This fighter is outright the most dominating fighter in heavyweight history as the numbers & all boxing intangibles prove BEYOND a shadow of doubt... yet his entire body of work gets laughed at as if he's accomplished everything in the minor leagues..

You have all the facts staring you straight in the face but because he's from the Ukraine & is 6ft 8.. his work is viewed as one big asterisk.... mark my words we will NEVER see this type of dominance ever again... we'll get someone who KO'S EVERY single fighter he's faced but we will never get someone to do this while winning practically every single rd he's ever fought... that i can guarantee you... 90% stoppage rate & 95% scorecard rate is UNHEARD of in any weight class.. yet the haters find a way to dismiss such evidence & make it happenstance... it's absurd to say the least.

Vitali has always had respect, its Wlad that people used to point the finger at.

Vitali already gets respect. .Even if he did fight and beat Wlad, he would not be the greatest heavyweight of all time.

Vitali has Not ALWAYS had respect & is lumped in with his brother as one & the same by the layman fans. Only HARDcore fans know the difference between the two & even if they do.. they always find an excuse as to why Vitali has been so invincible. The haters even laugh off his monumental effort against Lennox Lewis & portray it as some type of negative on his resume when it's 100% negative on Lewis's resume. Vitali's two defeats have gotten even more airtime than Lewis' two defeats. The reason being is that Vitali's dfeats weren't cut & dry. Lewis's chin failed him twice...... other parts of Vitali's body failed him in his two dfeats.... you might say it's the same result as both Lennox & Vitali's bodies failed to protect them.. Lennox was counted out by refs after he was on the canvas in mid rds. Vitali was counted out by DR.S when there was a break in the action in between rds while on his stool.. Both Byrd & Lewis were contemplating defeat in there stools & were awarded with victories when they least expected it.

Klitschko's dominance resembles to me the same dominance that now forgotten French Tennis Star Suzanne Lenglen had over her contemporaried for the same time, although put on hold by the War. Her competition gauged their own prowess by how. many games, if any, they might win from her. She never lost a match and steamrollered over everybody.
She won 8 major tournaments without dropping a single game. 6-0, 6-0 all the way, a record which will never be even approached. Every Tournament she entered and played through without illness or injury, she won easily. She won 6 Wimbledon Ladies Singles, 6 Ladies Doubles, and 3 mixed doubles. She did the very same in the French Championships.
7 Singles, 7 Ladies Doubles, and 3 mixed. Then she turned pro, to tour the US, being the first lady professional tennis player in history, and the first cross-over global tennis star. Nobody today has ever heard of her, (except at the at Roland Garros Stadium in Paris though the Court Suzanne Lenglen) but her talents were extraordinary.
