I had an infection on my finger, that spread rapidly up my arm. That ended up costing me close to $1,000 (with my company's insurance).

I know a guy who is jobless, and lives in a motel room with 5 other junkies, that gets 240 qty. of one of the strongest prescription opioid narcotics every month for $1. Sells them, makes several thousand dollars that go to support his heroin habit.

Of course that isn't the health care system's fault what people decide to do with their "medicine" but there are many holes in the system.
