What few British fans will be aware of is that Kessler is half English, and he will enter the ring in Cardiff with a Union Flag on his shorts, next to a Danish one. Kessler's mother, Ann, is from Salisbury, Wiltshire.

"I'm just as British as Joe Calzaghe, but going in there [the ring in Cardiff] is going to be an experience," Kessler said.
