This thing here...,
Okay, here goes the best explanation probably available:
Oquendo, who is somehow related to B-Hop, was severely robbed vs Charr in 2013 (??) I think, protested the loss. Chart got popped for a failed drug test, then stabbed & sidelined.
Oquendo wins his appeal & is guaranteed a WBA shot. Charr becomes champ in recess. Charr ends up fighting Lucas Browne & loses. Browne is stripped & doesn’t fight again until the Shyte fight. Charr is given the belt back. Oquendo is given his title shot, although he was hoping for the golden ticket vs Juishua...
Really not that complicated...
🤔
Who the hell is Charr and why is he heavyweight champ more to the point. Sooner they get this belt unified against Joshua and rid of this version the better.
That Oquendo is still somehow first in line for a shot at the WBA Regular belt is quite unbelievable. He's nearly 50, and I don't think anybody outside his own family would have him ranked inside the top 50 HWs at this stage.
Surely there must be a time limit on how long it lasts? He hasn't fought it 4 years already; a couple of injury pull outs or some further unforeseen delays will push him to his late 40s, having been inactive for 5/6 years! It feels like he's been the mandatory for a decade already.
Larry, surely you know about the Oquendo situation? I figured there had to be some alternate intention with this thread, maybe it's just to take another shot at GGG.
