Those are good names - I feel McGregor surpassed Aldo though. Not just for beating him, but everything else too. He some fighters Aldo beat much more impressively as well.

Only 1 of 3 guys in history to win in 3 separate weight-classes and did so in a 12 month span.

Only one to ever champion two weight classes simultaneously.

And he's been in the UFC for 3 or so years? That's insane.

It's true though, there are some names out there. We can put Henderson, couture etc up there as well. Maybe top 5 is debatable, but top 10 now is guaranteed.

I feel when it's all said and done, people will mention Conor McGregor's name before they mention any other name.
Yeah I haven't watched enough of Aldo or McGregor yet. Last time I did a list, it was something like this:

    Fedor
    Silva
    GSP
    Sakuraba
    Hendo

    Couture
    Penn
    Hughes
    Jones
    Liddell

If I made it top 15, I'd add in Aldo and McGregor or put those 2 in the top 10 when I watch them more and probably end up replacing Hughes and Liddell? How's that sound? Of course, once I get to top 15, I also add in the pioneers of the sport, Royce Gracie, Ken and Frank Shamrock, Rickson, Renzo, Dan Severn, Don Frye and Masakatsu Funaki I'd probably add in, from seeing his fights in Pancrase and knowing the other fighters he trained. So that would pretty much by my all-time top 20. How's that for a best list?

If we're talking favorites, then I go with this list I made a while back:

    Royce Gracie
    Fedor Emelianenko
    Kazushi Sakuraba
    Anderson Silva
    Frank Shamrock

    Frank Mir
    Ken Shamrock
    Mark Coleman
    Chuck Liddell
    Randy Couture

    Igor Vivchanchyn
    Matt Hughes
    Dan Severn
    Don Frye
    BJ Penn

    Vitor Belfort
    Shinya Aoki
    Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto
    Georges St. Pierre
    Genki Sudo

    Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
    Mirko “Crocop” Filopovic
    Cung Le
    Wanderlei Silva
    Melvin Manhoef

    Murilo “Ninja” Rua
    Chris Lytle
    Sean Sherk
    Josh Koscheck
    Nick Diaz

    Nate Diaz
    Phillip Miller
    Rickson Gracie
    Daniel Puder
    Mark Kerr

    Gina Carano
    Miesha Tate
    Ronda Rousey
    Megumi Fujii
    Cat Zingano

    Urijah Faber
    Daniel Cormier
    Cain Velasquez
    Bobby Lashley
    Fabricio Werdum

    Junior Dos Santos
    Mark Hunt
    Allistair Overeem
    Hermes Franca
    Shane Carwin

How's that for a favorites list?

Fedor doesn't even compare to Mcgregor.

To be fair, the only real elite names Conor has are Aldo and Alvarez.

Plus Fedor had YEARS of being undefeated on top, Conor lost to a journeyman right in the middle of his prime.

                Jon Jones>Fedor>Conor.

Conor jumped up two weight classes, completely, when he lost to said journeyman. Then he rematched and won at the same exact weight.

Fedor lost to Dan Henderson. Whom, if anything, was much more damaged/ washed up than Fedor ever was.
More wars, more losses, more damage. Not only did he lose but he got completely decimated by a man who was MW in Pride while Fedor was HW.

Conor is on track to be the GOAT. I can't give Jon Jones anything when he legitimately cheats.

You just said a big truth. Conor seems like an ultimate fighter to me.
