Rigondeaux is still considered the lineal champion at 122. He hasn’t lost at that weight and only lost when he moved up two weight classes to fight Lomachenko. The WBA announced they would strip Rigo if he lost the Loma fight after it had been signed, which is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Garcia didn’t get stripped for fighting Spence, Brook didn’t get stripped for fighting GGG, etc. etc.
So Rigo is still at the top of that division and he’s in a WBC eliminator soon. That means he could unify his lineal title with another ABC bs belt soon.
