Ortiz might be right. When your tired and taking punches you find it harder to brace yourself and the punches are going to look like they are hurting you more.
But when Ortiz got knocked down, he could probably tell you what day it was still. His date of birth and what country he was born in and what he had for breakfast and what he was going to eat after fight. He probably still had senses, but when you are dog tired you do great impersonations of being hurt and its hard to not look hurt

This leads me to think that Ortiz is gonna put all his eggs in one basket and go for an early KO. I think he pressures and does his best to put on a storm in the first 4 rounds; if it works he may be successful- he may also leave himself open for a big right early on.

If he can't get a KO early on I can see him/his corner throwing in the towel while he's on his stool between rounds somewhere around the 8th or 9th.

Default Someone forgot to tell Ortiz

When unable to continue due too injury or beat down, it's in the record books as an a_s whupping but called a knock out or TKO.

Sorry Ortiz U Got Knock the F Out!

This is correct. After Ortiz completely expelled himself of all his energy in round #7 he never recovered. He actually stopped sweating after that round. Whenever you see a fighter unable to sweat anymore you KNOW he is completely shot. Look at how the fight ended. He wasn't on his back or stomach taking a nap. He slumped into a heap on his knees, unable to continue. This was extreme fatigue and that led to the KO stoppage.

The fight wasn't close barring one round ,the 5th before the stoppage. Ortiz was easily out pointing Wilder despite what scorecards said and only when he slowed was he starting to become an easier target. Its why Ortiz will get jobbed here when it goes 12.

For the rest, I totally agree, just think to foreman vs ali, where big G was so tired.

Maybe Ortiz will reveal his real age if he wins. So then he would be the oldest HW Champ ever.

I think that first skull shot freaked Ortiz out a little. It was right after he got up from that that his chest was heaving trying to get oxygen. He looked like he was cruising to that point....at least that is how I remember it.
