I have often suspected that these massive dehydration-rehydration practices contribute to brain injuries. The only death I've heard of in the last 50 years in the heavyweight division, where fighters don't cut weight, is that of Brad Rone, who died of a heart attack. Johnny Owen, Leavander Johnson, Marco Nazareth, Duk Koo Kim, Daniel Aguillo, Jimmy Garcia, and Pedro Alcazar, on the other hand, all died from brain hemorrhages. I think it was during the Alcazar fight itself that Jim Lampley and George Foreman were talking about how fighters in Alcazar's division lose and regain up to a quarter of their body mass to make weight.

The doctors who made these observations havent even physically SEEN Pacquiao! they're doing his diagnosis via some TV interviews... do they even have 1080p TV IN the Philipines?!

the proper question is why on earth is this not being taken seriousley, theres been a very noticable decline in pacmans skills since the margs fight, his output has dropped by as much as 500+ punches to 250 per fight since.

Wow, if this true then hopefully Pacquiao puts his health and family first and retires. I hate to see any fighter leave the game with permanent damage, especially damage to the head. Looks as if Pacquiao has a career in politics and he'll be an icon in his home country forever. Walk away while you can still walk.

Come on man. Marquez said he would pass the post fight drug-test before the results became public. He went out and got a proven felon in A.H. and the rest is history. He was jealous of Manny's success and did what he had to do to win. There is no way without roids and A.H. on his side, does he beat Manny. You know it and the whole world knows it. Fair is fair and what he did is incriminating in my opinion. Besides being a great fighter, Manny is humble and good for the sport and didn't deserve to be defeated in that manner. Manny was starting to make Marquez look 40 and without the "extra" power in his punch that night, he would have been stopped.

yup......marquez felt he got robbed 3 times. he said in the 24/7 that he has gone beyond being mad and that this rivalry became personal for him. that right there is the motive for him to hire a known steroid dealer/guru/chemist to give him the power to get a KO win. also add to the fact that he looked more ripped and bigger than when he fought floyd at ww. why hire a known steroid dealer and chemist to be your strength and conditioning coach? marquez's win will forever be tainted by the fact that he had a known steroid dealer and chemist prepare him.

Not all, considering that a fair amount of our doctors do teach in Med schools in various developed countries.

The Rustico dude might have just wanted to get his name in, but the latter, Dr. Fortun is a reputable doctor & just might have been asked for comment by the local media. She's frequently interviewed over here, just not about boxing nor Pacquiao.

As for the 'diagnoses' given by both, they don't hold much weight being that they haven't seen Pacquiao up close post-JMM KO, however, being that they're licensed and trained professionals, their educated guesses are better than some posters here would have you believe.

So one of the doctors is a woman, lol this get funnier by the minute!

Its idiots exactley like you that will cost Manny his health or maybe even life,your pride and ego cant see the obvious signs of slippage that have been there since the Margs fight ,which Manny has lost output from 500+ punches to 250 in each fight since ,Manny is way too young and already has signs he wont end well if he keeps fighting,His life is at stake because He just suffered one of the most brutal Knockouts ever suffered in a prizefight and pretty much almost died thats why his liffe is at stake,and you want to send him back out there just because you were made to look like a fool because thats your guy?
