Charlo's attitude is symptomatic of typical mentality of American boxers who would prefer to stay undefeated than challenge themselves.

He'll change his mind if he eventually fights Jarrett Hurd, because he'll be needing a second chance.

Joshua has proven approx 10000000000x more than BOTH Charlo’s combined. Maybe he should look in the mirror and these second rate guys he’s talking about are better than the fourth rate guys the Charlos been fighting.

Is it an American thing or a Haymon thing?

AJ hasn't proven anything? Really? He has the best resume of any active HW right now, hands down. Jermall on the other hand never fought a top10 MW. Hate when good fighters talk out of their ass like this.

Jermell is an arrogant jerk who fights Hurd's leftovers but he only represents himself and not every pro boxer in the USA.

Regardless your point has no relevance, and you are smart enough to know it doesn't. I don't feel it necessary to get into the reasons.
If you're a young fighter, who's starting to generate some interest in your fighting, you're not going to grow anything fighting in front of less than 50000 people on an app.

If you're Pacquiao or Alvarez, or any other established name that's not likely to grow their audience much further, taking the fronted money likely makes sense.

Reshat Mati looks like he has a chance to be special; hopefully the money he signed for is worth it, but skipping the Olympics and fighting in front of less than 50000 streaming viewers likely isn't going to lead to stardom for him.

Compare that to a young guy like Joey Spencer, whose being kept active, is being showcased on FS1/FOX for basically every date in front of at least 200k+ viewers (with the viewership for the FOX shows going to 1m viewers).

Talent aside, Joey Spencer has a better shot at stardom than Reshat Mati, and every other young fighter can see that
