He's still the #1 guy at his weight, he should maybe look at fighting 4 fights a year while he can to put away as much money as possible, I also think many boxers would hire him as a trainer, look at his amateur and professional record, he has a lot he could teach.

As for Jacobs, at the time of the GGG fight, I though there was only 2 WBA belts and not 3, thanks for the explanation.

when the WBA ordered Golovkin/Jacobs, Mendoza stated that the winner will be the " true, unified " WBA champion
but, then along came this guy.....
surely that nonsense should have stopped already ?
Originally posted by WBC WBA IBF View Post..... No problem. Yes, there were three titles. Fans need to understand that the #1 thing preventing the WBA from eliminating titles quicker is that their customers (the promoters) don't want them to.
2) money (greed) should not be the determining rationale for anything, let alone for determining who/how many, world champions they appoint
3) how is it even slightly possible to take the WBA seriously under those conditions?
4) how can you guys support this nonsense, and then justify a fighters position by saying "title doe"..... Murata is not a genuine world champion

I see where they went wrong
it used to be nice, back in the old days..... when boxers used to punch each other in the face to become a champion
so..... N'dam, and therefore Murata..... both became champs because Danny Jacobs lost, to some other guy?
makes sense

Boxing is a business. It exists to make money.
Nobody said you should take them seriously. Personally, e hope that all of the sanctioning bodies go out of business.
Nobody said they support anything. It's time for you to retire that troll. Just because somebody explains why something happened doesn't mean they support it. You've posted this same fallacy dozens of times. Try to evolve.
He holds a recognized world title. You're free to recognize whatever you wish. We personally believe that if you look at the lineage of every major middleweight title, it's very clear the WBC middleweight title, by far, is head and shoulders above the others.
yep, they are a bunch of asshat's
interestingly..... since the advent of the second official sanctioning body, until now..... not one of the 4 official sanctioning organisations has ever been definitive
not..... once..... EVER lol
the ****ty WBA are nearly as bad as the ****ty WBC
Cliff Rold made a good point about Lebedev.....
Cliff’s Notes…
Will anyone really be home for the fights, or anything else for that matter, this weekend? Assume Last Jedi cuts into the interest of all else on Earth…No matter what one thinks of his style, or the way he exited the fight against Vasyl Lomachenko, what the WBA is doing in taking Guillermo Rigondeaux’s belt is disgusting. This is the same organization that let Denis Lebedev keep their strap after a fight with Murat Gassiev, despite entering a unified titlist. So one can lose in their class and keep the belt, but not dare to rise two weight classes? What the hell is wrong with the WBA? Sadly, that question has been a constant too often over the last few decades…Bad luck for Carson Wentz last weekend. Philadelphia Eagles fan or not, no one likes to see a kid having such a great year go down like that…Teddy Atlas and Stephen A. Smith screaming at each other was embarrassing for all involved. Do people really enjoy this nonsense? There’s too much sensational, and not enough substance, in the world of the sports talking head.
