Hearn did a great job here. He knows Whyte is dangerous, but limited. As is Wilder obviously.

Hearn absolutely refused to allow Whyte to fight any top 5 contenders in a final eliminator for any organization. It was too risky.

But he publicly lobbied day after day, has the fans on his side, and convinced the WBC to make #1 vs. #10 for the interim title, even though several fighters rated ahead of Rivas were available.

Don't knock the hustle. This is what a great promoter is supposed to do and Hearn has done his job expertly. Here's hoping Whyte can get by Rivas and Whyte and Wilder can have a big fight next year. Should be fun.

Great news for 'KABOOM' Oscar Rivas, unlike coward Shyte Rivas gets his mandatory shot right away because he is fighting who he is suppose to fight, without crying and begging tha Champ Deontay 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder.

This undeserving protected overpaid euro-bum Dillian Shyte is finally going to start earning his money.

So hearn & Whyte are trying to become the mandatory? Good move on their end. Not so much on wilders for his path towards undisputed. Now we have to see Ortiz 2, Whyte, fury & then Wilder vs Ruiz/Joshua 2 winner for the undisputed. That's a solid 2 years before we'll see any unfications. Wilder should have faught Whyte over Ortiz in my opinion.

If Team Whyte thinks this is going to be easy then they must be brain dead. They had to go through the hardest route to force a shot, no WBC challenge had to go through what Whyte had to go through, Not Bermane stiverne, not Breazeale not the champ himself Wilder. Wait and see how this doesn’t mean much in the end.

Whytes not even mandated yet that has to go on after he wins in a fight he hasn't won yet and then whenever the WBC officially announces it then Wilder has a year or TWO to fight a mando bc that's what he does so don't hold your breath. lol

You have lost your mind if you think Hearn did a good job by matching him with the toughest available opponent. this is a riskier fight for Dillian than Fury and Wilder.

Matchroom is the worst in boxing when it comes to match making and when the Breazeale fight didn't happen, there were other easier options out there he could've made for the same title shot.
