  • Why do people keep thinking A-sides will cross the street for one fight?

Since DAZN launched, how many fights have Canelo, Joshua or GGG had on ESPN, Fox or Showtime?

Since Top Rank moved to ESPN, how many fights have Crawford or Lomachenko had on DAZN, Fox or Showtime?

Since PBC launched, how many fights have Wilder, Spence, Thurman, the Charlos, Broner, etc had on DAZN or ESPN?

There are three universes in US boxing right now. Sometimes fighters will switch sides when their contract expires. Sometimes lesser fighters will be brought to the other side to be the opponent for a bigger star.

But nobody's top stars are going to entertain one off offers to be the opponent for someone else.

So you guys can cry about it every day until the end of time, or start getting realistic about which fights are and are not possible.

Thats all well and good but who is it that the PBC are sending fight offers out to? Its no good saying nobody moves. ESPN and DAZN seem to of been sharing recently but the PBC aint making no offers to anybody.

I guess the joint PBC/ESPN PPV fight between Wilder and Fury is not real.

Call me a dreamer but I have a hard accepting that certain fights simply can't be made.
Yes, yes, it's a business first but I think it's a bit short sighted not to make the fights which raise the profile of the sport overall.
Obviously I'm no CEO but could we not have had Mikey v Loma on one platform and Spence v Crawford on the other for example?

DAZN is the only one sending out insane offers so none of their fighters are going to cross the street.

If DAZN had an opponent for Crawford or Lomachenko, I bet they could get them to cross over. They’ve gotten other Top Rank fighters on the platform.

It’s the guys on Fox/Showtime who have opponents on DAZN and are ignoring insane offers. Although not all of them because DAZN did just get Mikey Garcia.

The more things change the more they stay the same for PBC fan boys. ANY fight can be made if both guys have the guts.

What about joint PPV's? Assuming there is enough money in the pot to satisfy all parties. I would assume that's possible since we are getting the Wilder-Fury rematch.

Why would PBC send offers they know there's no chance will be accepted? Hearn sends offers he knows there's no chance will be accepted because he's doing it to brainwash his fans. PBC doesn't waste time with that kind of stuff, so there's no reason. When GGG was looking for a home, PBC made him a lucrative offer. DAZN made a better offer, so he went to DAZN. He's not looking for a home right now, so why make him offers there's no chance he'll accept?

There's only been two ever in history. We're about to have our third, which is a fight that was already supposed to happen before Arum swooped in and convinced Fury to delay it. So it didn't have the same political hurdles because Fury only signed with Top Rank on the condition that they couldn't block a Wilder rematch.

It's very very rare that a joint PPV makes sense.

DAZN doesn't even do PPV, so how do you do a joint PPV with them?
