Ironically boxing needs nore outlets but a lot NSB trolls act like a bunch of puss'e's towwards any new ideas. Pathetic. Like fanatic lil'g fans....the post Pac effect

Yeah TV really killed boxing. I mean when it was first invented im sure people were pumped. And since there was only a few channels then it was one of the only things on. Now there are a million different things for people to watch and get into. No sport will ever draw ridiculous numbers on a consistent basis. PBC definitely could have done better. All the different channels definitely was a problem. They need to put more money into marketing the fighters even if it means not paying them all a million to fight. Im sure in the long run a boxer wouldnt mind getting paid a few thousand dollars extra if it means they will make millions later by becoming stars.

The structure for PBC should be simple.
Biggest Fights: Pay-Per-View
Big Fights: CBS/Showtime
Good Fights: FOX/FS1
I'm sure they'll secure the deals they need but get rid of some of the gimmicky stuff like the WWE stage with entrance ramp, the black ropes, etc. Treat it like it should and let it look like the fights us as fans are accustomed too.

Al Haymon didn't go into this venture without a plan, as many message board and twitter experts seem to think. Al Haymon knows exactly what he is doing. Two years from now, PBC will be hailed as the greatest think to happen to boxing in its entire history.
When that happens the critics and naysayers will suddenly develop a severe case of amnesia and fail to remember any of the doom and gloom comments that they have made about Haymon and PBC.

Shame that pbc didn't utilize the platform better. Those mistakes will be indirectly responsible for getting more boxing on tv, just not in the way Harmon envisioned.

Once it became clear that NBC would never consider spending big money on boxing, PBC shifted their focus to FOX, which is far more open to spending big money on boxing.
ESPN is open to all promoters and they chose to accept low level shows for ESPN2 that they didn't have to pay for.
If NBC Sports Network decides to accept low level shows they don't have to pay for, it's ultimately meaningless.
PBC was trying to create interest among networks, but it wasn't going to be feasible to create interest among all networks.
Right now, nobody is spending more money on boxing than the CBS corporation. Al Haymon has them on lockdown. He's in the driver's seat.
It's been known for a long time that NBC is going to be a non-factor going forward. This "news" is not news at all. Just the same old lame anti-PBC propaganda.

Bill Simmons salary alone could fund Postol vs Crawford and Ward vs Kovalev. But let's just keep focusing on PBC
Lets just hope boxing dont fail.
