Lennox Lewis by far, fought and beat better fighters than Larry Holmes. Lewis on his best day is without any doubt the hardest heavyweight to beat in the history of the sport. Maybe he wasn't as skilled as Larry Holmes, but he was very strong physically and he was very smart to utilize that strength, he'D always find a way to neutralize any type of fighter. Both had great jabs though which seperated them from the rest in their respective eras.

Holmes easily!
Stopped ONCE in 65 bouts by a true puncher. (Tyson)
Lewis stopped twice once by McCall who Holmes fought at the same time in a competitive fight as a veteran fighter.
Hasim blows out Lewis and he has been stopped 6 times!!!
I like Lewis but he didn't fight the same caliber of fighters that Holmes fought.
65 pro fights for Larry compared to 44 from Lewis is a huge difference for me.
Both tough rugged guys who showed heart and willingness.
I prefer to watch Holmes over Lewis.

Lewis fought the most heavy handed fighters and bigger fighters, fought in an era of chaos and really holmes best wins wouldnt be that much of a threat for Lewis...could Holmes say the same thing? Lewis may have been the giant of his era the majority of the time but going era vs era...lewis has this.
Funny ppl claim the 80's to be weak and 70's after Ali as well but then when you compare anyone to a Holmes its " oh no Holmes was better" you cant have it both ways.Either you think Holmes fought the weaker comp or you dont?
