  • History Section Essay Contest!

This will be completely funded by me.

The rules are write an essay on any boxing history related topic and win points and other rewards.

    Here are some suggestions.

    - A fighter who isn't in the HOF and you believe should be.
    - Your favourite fighter.
    - Why fighter x is over-rated or under-rated.
    - Resume battles. For example compare Hagler and Monzon's resume.
    - Analysis of H2H match-ups.

The rules of the contest are simple.
    - No bickering in contest threads.
    - Make sure these threads are recognizable in someway.
    - Present evidence to prove your point.
    - Make this your own work.
    - No bait threads.

The contest will be open until the 18th of March giving you guys 1 month.

The prize system is straight forward. For each vote a poster receives in the thread to decide the winner they will be given 50 million points. (This may increase if a lot of voting does not take place.)

There will also be lovely e-gifts of the winners choosing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. These will be marked as exclusive and official contest awards!

It is similar to previous contests held that I would like the links to all threads be posted in here. You may do more than one thread.

These essays do not need to be 1000 words long or whatever. Any contribution is appreciated to get some discussion going. Although the meatier the piece the more votes it's going to receive.

I'm entertaining the idea of doing - why Bert Lytell should be inducted into the HOF incase anyone else was thinking of that.

    It's taken

Sounds like a good idea, I would like to contribute however I am quite time poor.

Would you accept a boxing haiku instead?

I don't have the time for a legit essay. But I could write a semi lengthy narrative soliloquy about my life with The Fraziers and the countless lessons I learned from them from my early childhood into my adulthood.

                Is that acceptable, "Marvelous"?
